Concertmaster, professor acquires home in Port Jefferson

Medium 3307c61509a929ef0ba123c13eba2a90 Lazar and Eugenia Gosman bought a home at 37 Old Homestead Road in Port Jefferson from Susan, Eric and Michael Goldstein for $460,000 on April 3.

The property is in the East of Main Street neighborhood.

Mr. Gosman is a concertmaster, music director, solo violinist and teacher. His life has been featured and documented in various television networks.

He founded the Tchaikovsky Chamber Orchestra in New York and currently as professor of violin and chamber music at the State University of New York in Stony Brook.

He graduated with highest honors from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

There were 53 home sales in Port Jefferson in 2008, with a median sales price of $462,500.
